Before his grandparents recently passed away from dementia,
Benny and his family members had the privilege and burden of
caring for them while they shared stories of their 72-year marriage.
Their storytelling connected the family, including the 75 grandchildren,
to the aging patriarch and matriarch supporting their quality of life and care.
It inspired Benny and Yanshan to create a conversational AI companion which engages
with elders and transforms those life-stories into meaningful health insights for
caregivers.
